The TenEase© (Patent pending GB2012972.2)
"Takes some of the strain away from the tenor recorder"
Does your right hand or wrist hurt when you play the tenor recorder? Do you find the tenor heavy? If yes, then you need The TenEase© (Patent pending GB2012972.2)! Designed and created by recorder player, Emma Murphy, to take some of the weight of the tenor recorder away without creating any of the restrictions a neck strap can produce. NB: May not work on recorders with keys. They are fully adjustable but are available in TWO sizes: S/M (for up to 7 inch wrists) or M/L and SIX great colours: choose different ones to match your different recorders and outfits! NB, the S/M will also work for an ALTO recorder.
"Thanks for the TenEase. What an ingenious design! I'm just trying out a low pitch tenor and was finding it very uncomfortable to play, but with the TenEase it's so much easier! I bought two so I can give one to my sister who I know has problems with the tenor." Nicky, UK
"Many thanks for my parcel which arrived today. The colours are lovely but more importantly I can play my beloved ebony tenor! I haven’t been able to use it for quite a few years, in fact I bought a new keyed one to use instead. The fabric is gentle on the wrist and it feels very secure. Overall I’m thrilled, they’ve inspired me to practice!" Liz, UK
'Then & Now' for Bass Recorder by Emma Murphy
I wrote this piece during the Covid-19 lockdown in April to June 2020. I was struck by the beauty of nature during this strange time, with birds nesting in our garden, followed by baby birds emerging into this world, fox cubs, incredible birdsong, frogs and toads, alongside spectacular flowers, blossoms and trees. Life had stood still for us all, but nature carried on and thrived spectacularly. There are three sections:
· ‘Before…’ when our lives were busy and hectic, with constant rushing around
· ‘During…’ during lockdown, when we truly appreciated the wonder of nature
· ‘After…’ when I hope we will have better balance in our lives
