I completely agree Sarah. I have spent the last hour doing the ironing to the accompaniment of double tonguing!

Ha ha Jane! That's perfect! That's exactly the way to do it. I hope you were saying your syllables while you were ironing? You can say them when you're doing lots of other things, like cleaning, getting dressed, having a bath etc etc. 3/24/2020 02:58:26 am
Thanks for your kind words Sarah. That's exactly what I wanted this to be: a focus in these unsettling times. But also something challenging to try, and fun. One student of mine has emailed to say she doesn't know what the rest of her family are thinking about the 'funny noises' coming from her bedroom.....! It's great she, and all of you, are giving it a go. Exactly as you say - attempting something that always tends to be avoided.

Hi Emma, I feel that after many past attempts to learn double tonguing, I may be finally able to do it from your instruction here. Thank you. Two questions:1) Since I have a very slow tongue, could I start the exercise at a slower tempo and build up? Would that work?; and 2) I play the soprano recorder exclusively right now, and I'm wondering if the same double tonguing technique applies to this voice. Again, thanks so much for your generous spirit. Abbe 🦋

Dear emma, when I download the exercises you disappear, so I can't follow the lesson. Also the button takes me to your shop page which only has exercises one and 2. Any suggestions? I am on an android tablet. Maybe I should try on my iPhone?. Ruth

Hi Ruth, I’m not sure what’s going on there... The button takes you to the Shop page where you have to pay £2 to download the exercises. Perhaps download them first, before you start the video?? Exercises, Parts 1, 2 and 3 are up there. In hindsight, I see I might have made it a little confusing, in that videos 1 and 2 have no exercises, then videos 3-5 have Exercises, parts 1-3 respectively.
